In 1997 I qualified at the award winning training salon, Look North at Keighley.

In 2010 I completed my City and Guilds Level 3 Advanced with Credit and Distinction, and did this on my own, not enrolled on a course, so am particuarly proud of this acheivement.  City and Guilds are the ONLY industry recognised qualification, and in un-regulated industry such as dog grooming I believe it is a quality assurance for customers.  When you see a groomer with a City and Guilds qualification, you can be reassured that they know what they are doing!

Also in 2010 I completed my City and Guilds 750 Teaching Certificate

I started competeing at grooming competitions in 2009.  These are held through the warmer months, and are always hotly contested.  They are very popular with competitors competing from overseas, and international judges.

In 2010 I took 2nd place in the Gundog Class with Daisy the Cocker Spaniel

Also in 2010 I took 1st place at the Experienced Level Gundog Class and Reserve Best in Show at the British Grooming Championships also with Daisy the Cocker Spaniel.

Most recently in August 2011 I took 1st place at Premier Groom in the Open Poodle Class with my own Miniature Poodle, Dotty.
